Narodila sa v Poprade-Spišskej Sobote. Ako každý, kto prežije detstvo pod Tatrami, má rada zimu, sneh, lyžovanie. Aj počas vysokoškolských štúdií fyziky v Bratislave sa rada vracala domov, rovno na lyže. Do kopcov chodievala s rodičmi na turistiku, ku lezeniu na skalách sa  dostala popri manželovi Jurajovi. S ním v roku 1993 založili nadáciu Horský film Poprad, ktorej cieľom bolo organizovanie festivalu filmov s horskou tematikou. Prvé ročníky festivalu pôsobila ako jeho riaditeľka, po narodení tretieho dieťaťa však štafetu odovzdala Marike Hámorovej. Po čase sa z Popradu odsťahovala, ale nadšenie a aktivity spojené s pobytom v horách sa snaží odovzdať svojim deťom.

She was born in Poprad-Spišská Sobota. Like everyone growing up at the foot of the Tatras, she likes winter, snow and skiing. Even during her university studies of physics in Bratislava, she liked to return home and go skiing right away. She used to go hiking with her parents, and started rock climbing with her husband Juraj. Together with him, they founded the Mountain Film Poprad foundation in 1993, the aim of which was to organise a festival of films with mountains as the main topic. She was the festival director in the first years but after the birth of her third child, she handed over to Marika Hámorová. Although she moved from Poprad after some time, she tries to pass on the enthusiasm for spending time in the mountains to her children.
