The vicinity of the town of Poprad was already inhabited in prehistoric times. This is also evidenced by the discovery of a travertine cast of the cranial cavity of a Neanderthal man in nearby Gánovce. Stroll through our historic center and discover the ancient 13th century church of Saint Egidio with its soaring tower that will momentarily transport you to the Middle Ages and reveal the rich history of the site.
A visit to the church must be ordered in advance.
With rail to Štrbské Pleso

Visit the most popular destination in the Tatras. You can get to Štrbské pleso by car or by train. The cog railway Štrba – Štrbské Pleso is one of the two „cogs“ in Slovakia. It connects the Tatranská Štrba settlement with Štrbský Pleso. On the route, it stops at only one small stop, Tatranský Lieskovec, which is part of the Tatranská Štrba settlement.

The digital gallery combines art with modern technologies such as virtual reality, 3D projections, augmented reality, hologram, shadow play and the like. The installations are located on an area of approximately 600 m2 and offer up to 140 m2 of projection surfaces and 120 m2 of mirrors. The exhibition is supplemented with various interactive elements.
Digital gallery, cafe and shop are located in Tatranská Polianka.
Walk in the Treetops

The Bachledka treetop trail is located on the ridge of Spišská Magura, on the border of the Pieniny and Tatra National Parks. With a gentle climb, it will safely take you from the ground up to a height of 24 meters, directly to the treetops. We will show you what makes the local nature unique. You will become a part of forest life and get to know many animals and plants that you can find only rarely. The route with a length of more than 1,234 meters will take you through a diverse forest, where various surprises await you. You will be completely captivated by the breathtaking view of the Belianske Tatras, the Pieniny Mountains and the picturesque Zamaguria from the panoramic platform of the 32-meter-high tower that ends the Chodník. Bachledova dolina is 45 minutes away by car from Poprad.
